OUR YASS PROGRAMME HAS BEEN SUPPORTING CHILDREN FOR 7 YEARS ON EXPLOITATION ISSUES.

YASS means You Are Special, You Are Safe. It clearly coaching young people on how to stay safe and keep their peers safe. It coaches young people on how to spot the signs of abuse and how to keep safe online. The young person will leave confident and will be more assertive at the end of the programme.

This was initially a 5-week programme and has since developed into a 7-week course on the following subjects

Healthy Relationships V Negative Relationships
Self Esteem and Assertiveness
Cyber safety
Issues around overcoming bullies
How to stay safe at home and school
Transition into secondary school
Transition and individual action plan for each student

N.B: Due to popular demand the course has extended to support primary school children transition into secondary school or independent living for special needs children,
